21st September 2010 Mid Autumn Spade Lunch @ Pantai Seafood Spade now have 9 of us working together as a family.... 2 from client servicing, 5 from creative, 1 from admin and boss... Our team spirit will always be there... cheers and Happy Mid Autumn Festival everyone!!

Catherine's Birthday Celebration

Catherine's birthday celebration was held at the Pantai Seafood Restaurant in Petaling Jaya. We enjoyed a 10 course meal and headed back to office for the cake. Birthday girl was so surprised and did not expect a quietly planned birthday celebration for her from Spade colleagues.

2010 Kenny Rogers Roasters Chicken Run

2010 Kenny Rogers Roasters Chicken Run was held at Sunway Lagoon main entrance. Spade Advertising took this opportunity to participate in this run to show our support in terms of marketing aspect. All of us turned up at Sunway at 7am sharp. Those participate from Spade Advertising includes Reeve, Anthony, Jonathan, Phoebee, Catherine, Pin Pin and I. It was on a sunny Sunday and of course we did not complete the entire run as half way through we sneak out to a nearby mamak and had our breakfast.

Jonathan's Farewell...

Its end of July 2010.. our dearest General Manager.. Jonathan Tan have left us to pursue his career in another company.. Epson Malaysia.. I've known Jonathan since 2006.. we started working as partnership as he deals with us for Media and we provide creative services to their existing clients. Since my returned to Malaysia in February 2009, I joined Spade Advertising Sdn Bhd and get the opportunity to work with Jonathan again. But it was only a short period of time.. well.. I think this is how the working industries are.. people come and go.. Wish you good luck and all the best in your future and career..!!

2009 Company Trip CAMERON HIGHLANDS

In December 2009, Spade organized our 1st company trip to Cameron Highlands. No doubt its only a short trip - 2 Days 1 Night, all of us had a wonderful time. In conjunction with the company trip, we also took effor to attend Starbucks Coffee Cheer Party at Cameron Highlands.

1st Gathering in 2010

Our 1st gathering in 2010 @ my house. Thank God everyone managed to attend and never miss the gathering. The gathering started at 6pm and ended at 12am. Jonathan cooked Hainan Chicken Rice and Bean Sprout, Cathering made Salad and I made Chicken Spring Roll as well as Chilli Dried Prawns. For drinks we have beer and of course Gold Label. In conjunction with this gathering, we also took the opportunity to celebrate Reeve's and Phoebee's Birthday which happen to falls in the month of July. The entire gathering was successful. Isaac was happily enjoying with all the "koko and che che's" present. I think he will be very popular among the girls when he grow up just like his brother Ethan. Should I say both of them will be the torn among the roses?

Harry's Farewell

I've been with Spade for close to 10 months. Since day 1 I joined Spade Ad, I've been consistently meeting new people not only suppliers but getting to know new colleagues to.

Prob this is the trend in the advertising industry, people come and go. I do not know how the other working industry will be as I've been in this line since I graduated, but I would comment on that every human have their very own special characters.

Some just being too friendly and some don't even bother to voice up anything.. in short I will say that act dumb. Within this few months our office have huged turn over in terms of manpower mainly apply to my creative team.

First was Donavan who left, then Harry left in May 2010. Now Jonathan our General Manager quit, out of a sudden I was promoted. Looking at the entire situation I find it quite hilarious..

Office Politics

I personally do not understand why there's politic issues happening in all office. Regardless the size of the office, why can't people live in the way that they can communicate well and avoid conflict. Instead of backfire each other whenever they have time to do so.

Management does not understand the rights and cares the feelings of the employees. They tend to stand for their own right thinking only the benefit of the company instead I would prefer the management to take things into consideration regardless what kinda problem is every of their employee facing.

Issues such as salary, company annual trip, commision scheme, rewarding scheme and other minor and major things are always being put into the company's wellfare to take care of each and every of the working employee that they had employ. This issues is forever an arguing topic and is always a never ending story.

People are leaving and new comers tends to come in and learn about the company culture and leave if one could not tolerate it. I just wish that the company or the management staff should be aware of the surrounding happenings instead of just sitting there acting dumb and pretend never had ever happen before and this will eventually lead the situation to be worsen.

Working Life @ SPADE

Time flies?!?! I really think that this really suits all human who is in the working industries. Or should I say not only in working industries but also applies to students and children.

Imagine the time I joined Spade Advertising Sdn Bhd was back in September 2009 and time just passed without realising it and I've been attached to this company for close to 6 months or even close to 7 months.

I've gained a lot in this company and I've also seen so many new faces who comes in and out from this company. One thing I like about this company is everyone here works together as a family and we share our ideas - like and dislike out front. Nothing is to be hiden at all.

This year 2010, the company new direction is to expand into different category as we know our core business is still Advertising - above and below the line. Now we are also taking in events and expanding in terms of going on to Facebook, twitter as well as to revamp on our company website.

Well.. hopefully 2010 will be a fruitful year so that I can earn more and concentrate on my 2 beautiful boys.
